Getting to know...Cass!

Cass has only been for us for less than a year but it seems like we've known her forever! She brings a contagious sense of joy and excitement to any situation and we'd be lost without her! Let's get to know her a little better...

WHAT DO YOU DO AT MONTII?

Hi! I am the Customer Relations Manager here at Montii. Myself and the lovely Customer Service girls look after all of your emails, chats, DMs, assist our stockists, try and solve any of your questions/issues, plus I look after our office admin/ordering ect.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAMILY

I met my Husband back in high school back in Canberra, but we didn’t start dating until much later on. We now share 4 children, a dog and a whole lot of craziness (probably why he now works away half his life!). Together we share my step-daughter Alice, who is 13 years old, Abigail, aged 7, Amelia, aged 4, and Teddy, who is 2.

WHAT IS YOUR COFFEE ORDER?

Medium Skim flat white with an extra shot - a shot of coffee for each child

TELL US AN ONLINE BRAND THAT YOU LOVE, AND WHY?

I love burning candles at home and my absolute favourite is LUMIRA. These candles are crafted using sustainably sourced Fragrance Oils and Soy Wax. Plus they are free from harmful substances such as Parabens, Bleaches, Dyes, Palm Oil, Lead, and Tin. They also have the most beautiful and unique scents.

DO YOU HAVE A CELEBRITY DOPPELGANGER?

I don't think so. I used to get Katherine Heigl a lot weirdly.

WHAT IS YOUR SPIRIT ANIMAL, AND WHY?

I would say that my spirit animal would be the Alpaca, mostly because I’ve always loved them, but they also have numerous traits that resonate with me such as adaptability, integrity, protection, curiosity, and a shy but still social nature all of which is a little bit me. 

WHAT WEIRD FOOD COMBINATION DO YOU REALLY ENJOY?

Im quite a fussy eater so I dont have many weird combos, but one that often makes some people uncomfortable is that I eat my toast with both Peanut Butter and Vegemite together. Ive eaten that since I was a child so I never though anything of it but I’ve had quite a few people tell me its gross.

WHAT IS THE DUMBEST WAY YOU HAVE EVER BEEN INJURED?

Oh I have lots especially as a kid…. tripping on a vacuum and accidentally falling through a window, standing up on a trike and falling backward onto a brick wall which caused me to split my head open, flipping off the back of a couch and going through another window (sorry mum!), splitting my chin open while playing basketball needing more stitches, getting bitten by a spider and losing sensation in my ankle (for which i had to wear fake skin to heal and took 6 months) and spraining my ankle severely while holding my newborn after stepping off a very small wall.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST UNUSUAL TALENT?

Not sure if it classifies as an unusual talent but my background is actually a Beauty therapists and know a lot about skincare ingredients and skin conditions.

DO YOU HAVE ANY SUPERSTITIONS?

I guess a lot of superstitions are ingrained into us… ‘Touch wood’, ‘cross your fingers’, ‘dont walk under ladders’, which I guess I do follow. I never thought of myself as a superstitious person but I do believe in bad luck coming in 3s and I do believe in karma, and in the universe sending us signs.

IF YOU COULD JUMP INTO A POOL FULL OF SOMETHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Coconut margarita..?
